I am giving these rings a second life, an opportunity to exist outside of the inherent; stripped of their genuine opulence and awarded a new costume of materials. They can then disassociate from the former, and revel within the suffocating beauty of the ordinary. I embrace the contradictions of honesty and the façade, sentimental and the discarded, the raw and the elegant.
